Dr. Robert Monetta, O.D.
Dr. Monetta Optometry has been a landmark provider of eye care services in the Bay Area since 1954. The practice has always been a fixture in the local and external community and has provided medical eye care services to generations of families.
Dr. Robert Monetta joined the practice with his father in 1982. For over 30 years, he has incorporated his areas of special interest in both medical eye diseases and children’s vision therapy. He completed his doctorate at the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. He completed a residency program at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association as well as the College of Optometry in Visual Development.
He is experienced in treating macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts. He also offers vision therapy for children with visually impaired learning problems. Vision is learned and visual skills can be taught during vision therapy.
He enjoys mountain biking, tennis, traveling and spending time with his family.
